One of the top reasons for YouTube’s striking popularity is cross-platform availability. Besides mobile, tablet, and desktop, YouTube native apps are available on all the major smart TV platforms, too. While it works flawlessly on smart TVs and streaming devices, many Roku users have complained about issues with YouTube. If you are among the affected ones, use the steps below to fix YouTube not working on Roku.
Whether you prefer it or not, YouTube is a must-have app on any smart TV. The app not working as expected can frustrate you. Before you switch to a phone, tablet, or laptop to stream your favorite creator’s video, use the steps below to get YouTube up and running on Roku.

You need to first check the network connection on your Roku device. If Roku has Wi-Fi connectivity issues, streaming glitches occur in all apps.
Step 1: Head to Roku home and select Settings.
Step 2: Select Network and go to the About menu.
Step 3: Click Check connection.

YouTube and other apps may run into streaming errors if your home or office corner is under a Wi-Fi dead zone. You should establish an Ethernet connection and use an adapter to unlock high-speed internet speeds on Roku.
