Fans were heartbroken when Tracy Spiridakos made her final appearance as the beloved Detective Hailey Upton in the Season 11 finale of Chicago P.D., but she might not be leaving our screens after all. Following her exit, rumors began circulating that the actress is joining another popular Dick Wolf franchise. Keep reading to see if Tracy Spiridakos is joining FBI.

Is Tracy Spiridakos joining FBI?
Although we don’t for sure, Spiridakos is open to the idea of joining the hit CBS franchise, which includes FBI, FBI: Most Wanted and FBI: International. While speaking to People after her Chicago P.D. exit, Spiridakos revealed that she would “love” to remain in the Dick Wolf universe by joining FBI. “I would absolutely love that,” she said. “The Dick Wolf franchise has been one of the greatest experiences of my career. The way that they work as a company is not even as a company. It’s very familial, and I feel like they’re family and friends, so I would love to be a part of their universe, for sure.”
Upton’s final moments on Chicago P.D. certainly paved the way for this switch-up. After resigning from the Intelligence Unit and telling Sergeant Hank Voight (Jason Beghe) that she needed a fresh start, Upton was seen researching jobs at several law enforcement agencies, including the FBI. The last scene showed her riding in a cab to the Chicago O’Hare Airport. The taxi driver asked her where she was heading, but the credits rolled before viewers could learn her answer.

After the episode, several fans theorized that Spiridakos would make the move to FBI. “I heard rumors about possibility joining FBI. Wishful thinking I know,” one fan wrote in a Reddit thread. “Fellow Chicago P.D. fans, might we see Detective Hailey Upton transition from the show over to one of the FBI shows? All of the Chicagos and FBIs are Dick Wolf shows. Hailey’s looking to find herself and the fly team on FBI: International would be a good fit. Just me thinking…” another fan wrote on X (Formerly Twitter). “I wish both Hailey and Jay jump to FBI: Most Wanted,” a third fan wrote, referencing Upton’s ex-husband Jay Halstead (Jesse Lee Soffer), who left in Season 10.
Additionally, Spiridakos is already familiar with the franchise’s flagship series, having guess starred on a Season 2 episode. “Tracy’s character is a fan favorite, and I’m extraordinarily happy to be shining an even greater light on her and gaining new fans along the way before she returns toChicago P.D,” Wolf said ahead of the multi-network crossover (per Deadline).
Although Upton and Zeeko Zaki’s Special Agent Omar Adom “OA” Zidan initially clashed, the pair were able to form a close bond by the end of the episode. “When she gets there, she and OA butt heads in the way they go about things,” Spiridakos told TV Insider at the time. “It takes her a second to warm up, it takes her a second to allow herself to have relationships, friendships … they start to get on, and they have a good friendship/partnership/relationship. At the beginning, it’s about trying to get through it, but towards the end of it, she enjoys the partnership and has found a friend.”
Perhaps OA will recruit his new friend to come work for his team in New York City — only time will tell.

The series — which was created by Dick Wolf, the same mind behind the <em>Law & Order </em>and <em>FBI</em> franchises — is the third show in NBC’s One Chicago franchise, which also includes <em>Chicago Fire </em>and<em> Chicago Med.</em></p><p>As devoted One Chicago fans know, no one is safe in the world of Dick Wolf. Several of the show’s fan favorites have exited the series, whether they were killed off or departed to pursue new opportunities. <p>Jesse Lee Soffer left the procedural after 10 seasons playing Detective Jay Halstead. In an interview with <a href="https://variety.com/2023/tv/news/why-did-jesse-lee-soffer-leave-chicago-p-d-interview-1235529696/" target="_blank"><em>Variety</em></a> in 2023, Soffer told our sister site that he exited<em>Chicago P.D.</em>because he wanted “more” as an actor. “I’ve thought so hard about how to answer this question — and there’s no good answer. Except I was ready for more,” Soffer responded.</p><p>Soffer hasn’t appeared in any new TV or film projects since leaving <em>Chicago P.D.</em> last year. Based on his <a href="https://www.instagram.com/jesseleesoffer/?hl=en" target="_blank">Instagram page</a>, the 39-year-old has spent some time golfing. In his personal life, the <a href="https://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-12941047/Jesse-Lee-Soffer-dating-former-Chicago-P-D-star-Tracy-Spiridakos.html" target="_blank"><em>Daily Mail</em></a> reported in January 2024 that Soffer has been secretly dating his former <em>Chicago P.D.</em> co-star Tracy Spiridakos “for years.”</p>

<p>Jon Seda, who played detective Antonio Dawson, left <em>Chicago P.D.</em> in Season 6. <a href="https://deadline.com/2019/04/chicago-jon-seda-colin-donnell-norma-kuhling-exit-chicago-pd-chicago-med-chicago-fire-nbc-1202599095/" target="_blank"><em>Deadline</em></a> reported in April 2019 that Seda’s departure stemmed from creative reasons related to the characters’ story evolution. “It’s been an honor portraying Det. Antonio Dawson in the #OneChicago world. Unfortunately, the network canceled <em>La Brea</em> in November 2023. “It is bittersweet. It’s such a fun show. I had a great time working on it,” Seda told <a href="https://www.usmagazine.com/entertainment/news/jon-seda-teases-antonio-dawsons-return-to-one-chicago-universe/" target="_blank"><em>Us Weekly</em></a>. “There’s not a lot of shows on TV where the families can come together and watch together. So, it has something for everyone.”</p>

<p>Elias Koteas’ time on <em>Chicago P.D.</em> was cut short after his character was stabbed and killed in Season 5. In an interview with <a href="https://tvline.com/news/chicago-pd-recap-season-5-finale-alvin-olinsky-dies-943926/" target="_blank"><em>TV Line</em></a> in May 2018, <em>Chicago P.D.</em> showrunner Rick Eid said that the decision to kill Olinsky was creative. “From a creative perspective, it was a decision that evolved organically from the ongoing storyline between Voight and Woods,” he explained.</p><p>Now, you can watch the Canadian actor in TV series like <em>Goliath</em> and <em>G</em>uilty<em> Party </em>andfilms like <em>The Baker</em> and <em>Janet Planet</em>. He also voices Nicky Quinzel in the audio podcast series <em>Harley Quinn & The Joker: Sound Mind</em>. As for upcoming projects, he’s <a href="https://deadline.com/2023/06/elias-koteas-brianna-middleton-silent-planet-sci-fi-thriller-1235426428/" target="_blank">set to star</a> opposite Briana Middleton in the sci-fi thriller <em>Silent Planet</em>.</p>

<p>Sophia Bush’s last season as Detective Erin Lindsay was in Season 4. The actress <a href="https://soaps.sheknows.com/soaps/news/668630/sophia-bush-leave-chicago-pd/" target="_blank">left on her own accord</a> but later said that she experienced abuse in the workplace, which was the catalyst for her decision to leave. “I quit because, what I’ve learned is I’ve been so programmed to be a good girl and to be a workhorse and be a tugboat that I have always prioritized tugging the ship for the crew, for the show, for the group, ahead of my own health. The reality was that my body was, like, falling apart, because I was really, really unhappy,” she said on Dax Shepard’s <a href="https://armchairexpertpod.com/pods/sophia-bush" target="_blank"><em>Armchair Expert</em></a> podcast in December 2018.</p><p>Since Bush’s exit, she’s appeared in numerous TV shows, including <em>Jane the Virgin, This Is Us, Love, Victor,</em> and briefly starred in the lead role in CBS’ canceled medical show, <em>Good Sam</em>. The actress also started a podcast called <a href="https://www.iheart.com/podcast/1119-drama-queens-83532602/" target="_blank"><em>Drama Queens</em></a> with her former <em>One Tree Hill</em> co-stars Hilarie Burton Morgan and Bethany Joy Lenz.</p>

<p>Lisseth Chavez portrayed Vanessa Roja in one season of <em>Chicago P.D.</em> before departing in the Season 7 finale. Rojas’s exit was not addressed on the show. “We tried to address it in the premiere, but it felt forced,” showrunner Rick Eid told <a href="https://tvline.com/2020/11/10/chicago-pd-spoilers-season-8-atwater-black-lives-matter/" target="_blank"><em>TV Line</em></a>.</p><p>After exiting the procedural, Chavez went on to star in DC’s <em>Legends of Tomorrow</em>. In 2023, the actress <a href="https://soaps.sheknows.com/soaps/news/711035/the-rookie-season-6-cast-lisseth-chavez/" target="_blank">was promoted</a> from a recurring role to a series regular for the sixth season of <a href="https://soaps.sheknows.com/tag/the-rookie/" target="_blank"><em>The Rookie</em></a>. Chavez plays Officer Celina Juarez, Nolan’s enthusiastic new rookie who causes trouble for him as he believes she’s too superstitious.</p>

<p>Brian Geraghty portrayed Kim Burgess’ partner, Sean Roman, from Season 2 until his exit in Season 4. Geraghty signed a year-to-year contract and was courted and pitched to join <em>Chicago P.D. </em>by executive producer Matt Olmstead. “He [Geraghty] was like, ‘I don’t know if I can commit to a seven-year contract. This sounds great, but I’ve got to take it year by year,’ which Dick [Wolf] doesn’t do very often. But the deal was made,” Olmstead told <a href="https://tvline.com/casting-news/chicago-pd-brian-geraghty-leaving-season-4-sean-roman-717024/" target="_blank"><em>TV Line</em></a>.</p><p>Since his time on <em>Chicago P.D.,</em> Geraghty has starred in various TV series, including <em>Briarpatch, The Fugitive, Big Sky, Gaslit, </em>and Taylor Sheridan’s <em>Yellowstone</em> prequel, <em>1923.</em> You can also watch him in films like <em>Blindfire </em>and <em>Red Right Hand.</em></p>
